Framed 100% cotton tea towel featuring The American Dream by Grayson Perry.

This tea towel is a scaled down full reproduction of the original artwork, with a hem label featuring the Grayson Perry and National Galleries of Scotland logos.

Grayson Perry produced his artwork The American Dream, a map of the US, when filming Channel 4 series, Grayson Perry’s Big American Road Trip. He wanted to represent the idea of authority of a map by giving the directions and telling us where to go, even the route to clear out of our emotional clutter.

Born in Chelmsford, Essex in 1960, Grayson Perry lives and works in London, UK. He has gone from taking evening classes in pottery to winning the Turner Prize, presenting television programmes on Channel 4, and writing acclaimed books. Always keen to do the unexpected, pottery allowed him the opportunity to indulge his fascination with sex, punk, and counterculture amongst other things, in the most unlikely and polite of art forms. Today, he is one of Britain’s most celebrated artists and cultural figures.
