Beautiful lightweight chiffon silk scarf in pale blue by Fox and Chave. The pattern of this scarf is inspired by a detail of Vincent van Gogh's beautiful 'Blossoming Almond Tree' painting, created for his nephew - who was also called Vincent.

Almond Blossom is from a group of several paintings made in 1888 and 1890 by Vincent van Gogh in Arles and Saint-Rémy, southern France of blossoming almond trees. Flowering trees were special to van Gogh. They represented awakening and hope. He enjoyed them aesthetically and found joy in painting flowering trees. The works reflect the influence of Impressionism, Divisionism, and Japanese woodcuts.

Vincent Willem van Gogh (30 March 1853 – 29 July 1890) was a Dutch post-impressionist painter who posthumously became one of the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art.

Fox and Chave work in collaboration with international art galleries and museums to create a unique range of fashionable scarves and ties.

Please note, due to the nature of the printing process, the design on the reverse of this scarf will be paler in colour than the front.
