100% cotton canvas tote bag in sky blue with white font and handles, designed by British artist Isaac Julien, featuring quote from the visionary African American orator, philosopher, intellectual and self-liberated freedom-fighter Frederick Douglass – Instead of the bright blue sky of America, I am covered with a soft grey fog.

Created for the exhibition Lessons of the Hour, presented by the National Galleries of Scotland in partnership with Edinburgh Art Festival 2021. Made in the UK.
