Re-usable tote bag featuring the Mickey Mouse tapestry by Eduardo Paolozzi, part of the collection of the National Galleries of Scotland.

Weatherproof and made from 100% cotton canvas, with a soft touch, this tote bag is perfect for your everyday shopping. The image is printed on both sides and is lined with navy-blue fabric with a zipped pocket inside, and bright orange handles.

This colourful tapestry featuring the silhouette of the iconic Disney character, Micky Mouse was a preliminary essay for a larger tapestry commissioned by the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester. The tapestry was woven at Dovecot Studios, Edinburgh by Fred Mann, Douglas Grierson, and Maureen Hodge under the direction of Archie Brennan.

Scottish artist, Eduardo Paolozzi (7 March 1924 – 22 April 2005), was born in Leith near Edinburgh. He is best known for his pioneering developments in the iconic Pop Art movement, but he is also widely considered for his bronze sculptures, screenprints and collages. Paolozzi was particularly interested in the mass media and in science and technology and studied in Edinburgh, London and spent two years in Paris from 1947 – 1949.
