Artist Sonia Delaunay (1885-1979) was born in Ukraine but spent most of her working life in Paris. Her vibrant paintings and geometric colourful textiles made her to stand out as a leading practitioner of what became known as 'Simultanism', an offshoot of Cubism and Futurism, which sought to distil a multitude of different 'modern' experiences and present them simultaneously in a single picture.
Louise Burgess is the artist/designer behind the Wini-tapp brand. The puppet range was inspired from a children's workshop Louise was teaching some years back, when she designed the puppet kits for the children to make and play with, and they loved the characters.
