60 x 43 cm stretched canvas print of Street Kids by Joan Eardley (60 cm) stretched canvas from the National Galleries of Scotland collection. Printed in a finely textured artist-grade cotton substrate at 400gsm which consistently reproduces image details with outstanding clarity and detail.

Eardley repeatedly depicted the children who lived near her Townhead studio in Glasgow. Adult figures rarely appear in her work. Eardley loved the friendliness and community spirit of the area. She took photographs of street life and of children playing, but also worked from life drawings.

Joan Kathleen Harding Eardley (18 May 1921 – 16 August 1963) was a British artist noted for her portraiture of street children in Glasgow and for her landscapes of the fishing village of Catterline and surroundings on the North-East coast of Scotland. One of Scotland's most enduringly popular artists, her career was tragically cut short by breast cancer.
