Smart A5 (21 x 14.8 cm) lined 176-page notebook featuring Edgar Degas’ beautiful artwork The Star. Comes with a practical pocket at the back for receipts and scraps, two ribbon bookmark and a solid magnetic side flap.

Combining high-quality production with magnificent fine art, the covers are printed on foil in five colours, embossed, then foil stamped. These are perfect for personal use and make a dazzling gift.

The journal features one of the famous and well-loved Dancers by Degas, The Star, that represents a ballerina performing on the stage in a majestic pose. This is one of the first examples where Degas worked with pastel added over a monotype.

Edgar Degas (1834-1917) was born in Paris and studied at the École des Beaux-Arts, where he grew his interest in the human figure. He travelled to Italy to continue with his studies and later returned to Paris where he met other Impressionist painters. He represented his birthplace in his paintings, drawings and sculptures that show different aspects of Parisian modern life.
